The PragmaticPoint’s Data Engagement Series offers sessions in which a member of the group or an invited scholar presents a brief talk on the nature of data in pragmatics. This is followed by a data session in which the scholar leads a discussion on selected data sets.<\/p>\n
This is typically done without pre-determined research objectives to enable the derivation of fresh, unbiased insights. Thus, the sessions are designed to serve as a forum to explore the features of selected data in a way that methodological, theoretical and analytical directions are jointly teased out by the facilitator and participants.<\/p>\n
